Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Brokerage Dispatcher & Operator to join their growing team.
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing business.
- Secure known carriers for shipments.
- Grow and run company operations and management of the cargo.
- Utilize DAT Load Board to post leads, cover loads, and occasionally get loads for company drivers.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain positive carrier relationships.
- Solicit and close new customer deals.
- Assess company processes and identify solutions for better efficiency.
Experience:
- Prior verifiable experience required
- Strong negotiation skills needed
- Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, and air-freight carriers
- Must have strong carrier relationships, and a customer following would be beneficial
- Must be a team player
- Knowledge of truckload, LTL, and Load to Ride rates is a must
- Ability to think quickly on your feet
