This is a “sales hunter” role that will be building sales pipeline to drive new
customer growth by identifying shippers to trust our organization with their freight. Our client provides full operational and accounting support to put you in a position to continually (A) cultivate your sales pipeline for new customers (B) drive account strategy with the operations support roles for existing customers.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the organizational leadership to develop and implement growth-based sales strategies that achieve revenue and profit targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Use independent judgement and discretion to determine which shippers have viable revenue generating opportunities, which lanes to quote, which loads to accept and do so in a way that achieves profit targets.
- Effectively identify decision-makers and establish/maintain relationships with shippers that contribute to reaching revenue and profit targets.
- Collaborate internally with operations teams to strategize and respond to RFP/RFQ's.
- Collaborate with operations team members to provide excellent customer service and prompt issue resolution.
- Use company provided CRM to manage the entire all stages of the sales pipeline and the associated leading indicator metrics that result in hitting revenue and profit targets.
- Travel to customer and/or prospective client sites (as needed) to facilitate sustainable relationships within the customers and market.
- Maintain awareness of customer trends, industry trends, and industry regulations.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but no degree required.
- 2+ years freight broker or logistics sales experience required.
- Comfortable prospecting on phone, email, and other means.
- Strong professional written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficient with MS Office, expertise with MS Excel.
- Efficient time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a demanding environment.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Initiative-taking decision making and critical thinking skills.
- Initiative-taker with enterprising spirit and competitive nature
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
