The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing customers in the freight
brokerage industry. This position involves prospecting potential customers, managing leads, negotiating freight rates, and coordinating with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and engage potential customers through cold calling, emails, and other outreach methods.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates with shippers and carriers to ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient freight movement.
- Utilize CRM software to track leads, customer interactions, and sales progress.
- Develop customized solutions to meet customer transportation needs.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to stay competitive.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide exceptional customer service to resolve issues and address concerns promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred).
- Previous experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation sales is highly desirable.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
