Our client is a Silicon Valley start-up that is creating an AI-empowered marketplace platform to match the 45% of trucks that belong to private trucking fleets that are mostly empty on of their backhaul trips to $50B+ of engaged USA truckload spend and at the same time decarbonize trucking. They are looking for an experienced carrier sales manager/representative who is well-connected to North American private trucking fleets. This position is remote and demanding.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new private trucking fleets to generate revenue for our client.
- Conduct platform demos for potential and existing private fleets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing fleets to ensure their satisfaction and retention.
- Work with the team to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and customer interactions in the company’s CRM system (HubSpot).
- Collaborate with marketing initiatives to enhance sales presentations, proposals, and collateral.
- Provide feedback to the developers on service enhancements.
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote our client’s products and services.
- Be involved in setting company strategy, direction, and plans to help our client maximize its potential.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years of success closing private trucking fleets to haul 3rd party freight.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in carrier sales for a brokerage.
- Startup experience is preferred.
- Sales management experience is preferred.
- SQL/VBA knowledge is preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical (Excel) and problem-solving skills, and self-starter working remotely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools (preferably HubSpot).
- Willingness to travel as needed.
