Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Logistics Sales Manager to lead their sales team with a focus on expanding their footprint in the food & beverage sector, specializing in drayage services. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, with a particular emphasis on juice transportation. This role involves managing junior sales representatives, actively selling, developing new accounts, and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our client’s customer base.

Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership & Management: Guide, mentor, and manage a team of junior sales representatives, setting sales targets, performance metrics, and development goals to build a high-performing sales team.
- Business Development: Actively pursue new business opportunities within the food & beverage industry, focusing on drayage services. Develop strategies to identify and secure new accounts, expanding our client’s market presence.
- Account Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring their freight needs are met with the highest level of service. Anticipate client needs and propose solutions that align with their objectives.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, demands, and competitor strategies within the food & beverage logistics sector. Leverage insights to inform sales strategies and identify potential areas for growth.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. Monitor and adjust strategies based on market changes and company performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations, Carrier Sales, Billing, Accounting, and Marketing departments to ensure cohesive efforts across the company. Provide input on marketing strategies and promotional activities to enhance sales efforts.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Regularly report on sales performance against targets, providing detailed analysis and forecasts to senior management. Utilize CRM tools to manage sales pipeline and customer information.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in sales within the logistics and transportation industry, with specific knowledge of the food & beverage sector preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing sales teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
