The Cross Dock Manager directly oversees the daily operations of a cross-dock facility, responsible for all facets of the daily duties of the Warehouse and Dock.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of a cross-dock facility.
- Maintain and execute the cross-dock schedule.
- Ensuring efficient freight handling; ability to read and execute thorough notes pertaining to each individual shipment.
- Knowledge of cold storage facilities.
- Manage inventory and storage planning.
- Maintain required documentation (completed load summaries and bills of lading for internal company drivers as well as over-the-road carriers).
- Personnel management, including hiring, training, daily scheduling of loaders and yard spotters, and performance.
- Fostering a culture of safety and compliance with company policies.
- Ensuring facility maintenance and cleanliness.
- Perform daily freezer/cooler checks and schedule maintenance as needed.
- Perform daily monitoring of storage containers.
- Analyzing operational metrics.
- Implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborating with other departments (e.g. customer service and dispatch).
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required. An ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a cross-dock facility/ and 2+ years working with refrigerated containers/products. Knowledge of Profit Tools software a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of guiding teams and driving results.
- Computer competent (Microsoft Office, specifically Excel) and email proficiency.
- Strong ethical standards with a commitment to integrity and professionalism.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills to navigate complex situations effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong planning and execution capabilities.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills to support data-driven decision-making.
- Technical proficiency with industry-specific tools and software.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and high-quality outcomes.
- Effective time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.
