They specialize in providing comprehensive logistics solutions, including Intermodal Drayage, Trucking, Distribution, Bonded and Non-Bonded Warehousing, and Realtime Inventory Control Management throughout the continental US.

Drayage Dispatcher
Our client is looking for a motivated Dispatcher who will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling and dispatching of their fleet of trucks. In this position, you will work closely with drivers, the warehouse team, and other logistics team members to ensure timely delivery of goods. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, monitor driver performance, and resolve any issues that may arise during the transportation process.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and schedule the delivery of goods and materials to and from customers.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate with drivers to ensure they have the necessary information and resources to complete their routes.
  • Plan and optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during shipments.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or questions related to shipments.
  • Manage and oversee a team of drivers and logistics personnel.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in dispatching trucks
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws
  • Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office and transportation management systems (TMS)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Flexibility to work long hours and weekends
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions
  • General knowledge of geography and routes
