Logistics Account Manager
The Account Manager is responsible for leveraging customer relationships to
systematically increase revenue and load count growth while supplying superior customer service and maintaining the company culture.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:
  • Actively seek customer/portfolio growth opportunities through relationship building, discovery, and collaboration with internal partners.
  • Manage portfolio customers RFP Process, Minibids, Spot Attack Strategies – aligning the appropriate resources and ensuring on time submission with messaging.
  • Setup and manage Portfolio Business Reviews within customer expectations – communicating performance metrics and leveraging for relationship and business growth.
  • Effectively communicate internally with all departments and externally with customers at all levels in order to provide world-class service to customers.
  • Work in conjunction with teammates and carrier sales to prioritize and service customer’s capacity needs.
  • Accountable to manage pickup and delivery appointments in accordance with legal transit times and shipment requirements to ensure performance and margin integrity.
  • Prioritize and handle customer escalations and performance metrics including on-time performance, portfolio performance, and the resolution of customer issues.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience:
  • High School Diploma required. B.A. in Logistics/Supply Chain, Business, or Marketing preferred.
  • 2+ years of transportation experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of sales or customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of various freight market trends based on seasonality, geography and specialized carrier types.
  • Able to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong comprehension of various transportation methods and modes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and make decisions.
  • Excellent customer service and employee relations skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in a high stress environment.
  • Strong ability to use organizational skills to plan tasks effectively and use forward thinking to predict future changes.
  • Ability to participate within an effective team.
  • Ability to process, workflows, policies, and projects as assigned.
  • Ability to exude confidence and gain credibility with customers.
  • Proficiency with computer applications and software.

This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission.
