As the Outbound Warehouse Supervisor, your role has a heavy emphasis on execution and is pivotal in driving the success of our client’s E-commerce operations. Reporting directly to the Director, Fulfillment Operations, you are responsible for overseeing E-commerce pick and pack, LTL Pack, project leadership, temp associates staffing and time management, and non- inventory supply ordering.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for non-inventory ordering, including placing supplies orders monthly with HR/Accounting, and ordering boxes when needed to support warehouse operations. Responsible for reducing the number of different box sizes that the company uses to 20 standard box sizes, and specialized box sizes for specific clients.
- Responsible for the successful execution of packing for LTL orders. This includes orders that are picked from the warehouse racking, either shipping via pallet or parcel, and orders that require special instructions for packing and bulk orders. Responsible for coaching current and new employees on client-specific procedures, and for maintaining an active document for training with all current clients. Partner with the Director to create and maintain training documents for all clients. Ensure that all orders are packed correctly per client specifications, vendor compliance guides are followed, and loads are prepared, stacked, and wrapped properly before handing off to dock supervisor to load trailer.
- Responsible for the successful picking of e-commerce orders. This includes overseeing the team to ensure that the correct item and quantity is picked per order. Responsible for pick-bin cleanliness, meaning keeping the pick bins and pallets for the e-commerce area clean, removing empty boxes, flipping empty bins etc. Set pick rates and hold the team accountable for picking performance. Partner with Inbound supervisor to ensure products are stored in best locations for optimal picking performance. Provide feedback to any picker that picks orders incorrectly and root cause why the order was picked incorrectly.
- Oversee and own qc, pack and shipping of outbound e-commerce orders within the facility. Ensure product QC is completed on all outbound orders to minimize errors in shipping with the goal of having zero errors in the shipping process. Review and problem-solve any lingering outstanding orders, orders not able to be qc’d or orders not able to be shipped. Ensure orders are packed with appropriate amounts of void fill material. Work with Director to develop pack requirements and rate for qc, pack and shipping. Work with customer service team to get international item sku information input into the system to minimize time spent working on international orders.
- Oversee and own qc, pack and shipping of outbound Retail Replenishment orders within the facility. Ensure product QC is completed on all retail replenishment orders to minimize errors in shipping with the goal of having zero errors in the shipping process. Review and problem-solve any lingering outstanding orders, orders not able to be qc’d or orders not able to be shipped. Coach team to pack within the vendor compliance guides for retail replenishment orders
- Ensure that customer POs are completed within vendor compliance guidelines. Understand guidelines to coach and teach the team to complete POs per customer requirements. Maintain training documentation per client and per vendor to ensure each team member is trained on the specific vendor that they are packing. Maintain training records with the Director and HR.
- Responsible for overseeing the successful execution of time management for temp employees. Ensure 0 lunch meal penalties for temp employees. Enter time into allocation sheets for accounting purposes. Collect and turn in temp employee timesheets. Ensure temp employees stay on task for the entire shift and release temp labor when work is no longer available or exceeding budget.
- Responsible for leading and staffing projects within the facility. This includes projects for new and existing clients and varies based on scope. Partner with the the Director to understand requirements for the project and help identify what staffing is needed to complete. Responsible for remaining within budget on project and escalating immediately if going to be out of staffing budget. Set up, organize, complete kitting and clean up.
- Ensuring trash is cleared from the floor and put into the trash cans, areas are left clear, boxes are broken down and put into recycling trailer or waste bin, supplies are returned to their locations at the end of the day, and emergency exits are left unblocked.
- Ensuring that the team is following proper safety procedures, forklift checklists are filled out daily by operators, forklifts are maintained properly for safe operations, proper PPE (vests, glasses, shoes, gloves, etc.) are used when completing tasks, no horseplay is engaged in with heavy machinery, team members are working within safe protocols for lifting and moving products within the warehouse.
- Ensuring that you are resolving conflicts that arise within operations or in between yourself or other employees.
- Responsible for leading your team by example and providing leadership and direction to your team members.
- Responsible for ensuring that you and your team clock in and follow time and attendance procedures, including not having any meal penalty concerns. Also responsible for filling out allocation sheets daily for tasks completed by you and your team and submitting temp time sheets to the individual responsible for temp timesheet updates.
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or leadership.
- Previous supervisor experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
